How Long Do the courses last?
Some of our courses last a total of 16 hours. These are divided into 4 weeks of 4 hour classes.
Other courses are intense weekend classes which last for a total of 16 hours but are split into two days of 8 hours each.
How many people are on each course?
Our teacher training courses are the smallest in London. We offer a maximum of just 10 places on each of our courses. This means that students will get even more time with our instructors and will learn more than any other course in London.
What is the cost of each course?
You can see the course prices on each respective web page, but our courses are £395 per person which is half the cost of what other courses in London charge. On top of that, we provide all course materials such as text books, note pads and pens. The only additional thing you will need to pay for is the exam fee which is paid to the professional society you'll be attempting to join.
Can I come in and see a class before I join?
We have a no spectator policy but should you wish to arrange a 30 minute consultation over the phone, we can schedule a time to call you and discuss the course with you.
Who teaches each course?
All of our teachers hold teaching certificates with the ISTD and or the IDTA. Some hold diploma level certificates whilst others have associate, licentiate or fellowship level qualifications.
Will I have to take an exam?
In theory no, but you will not be able to gain entry into the various dance teacher associations without taking the necessary assessment. During our courses we prepare are candidates meticulously in order for them to be ready to take the professional exam.
Why should I choose TLAD?
We have been teaching people to dance and teachers to teach dancing since 2005. We are affiliated with both the ISTD and IDTA and all TLAD instructors are hand picked and trained by Principal of former British Champion, Greg Gillespie.
We are also very proud that our classes are the lowest cost and the highest quality courses of its type in London.
We also offer unrivalled opportunities for graduates to take further teaching courses with us and even help, advice and opportunities for them to look for work or open schools and classes of their own.
