The London Academy of Dance is extremely proud to be partnered with The Central London Samaritans.
The Samaritans are a fantastic charity founded in 1953 which aims to alleviate emotional distress and suicidal feelings and behaviour by running a freephone support line which is available 24 hours a day, 7 days week for those in need.
In September 2015 the London Academy Of Dance were asked by Ben Conway of Peter Conway Management, on behalf Canary Wharf management, to run two dance classes at their outdoor arts event at the incredible "Spiegeltent".
The fees for these classes were donated to our charity partner, the Central London Samaritans. Below is a picture of Principal Greg Gillespie handing over the cheque to fundraising manager Rob Clarke at their office in Soho.
The London Academy of Dance, taught at the same event in Canary Wharf in September 2016 and again donated their fee to the Samaritans.
Principal of The London Academy Of Dance, Greg Gillespie (despite hating running!) ran the 2016 Robin Hood Half Marathon in Nottingham on September 25th and raised nearly £600.
